the eyes are not a window, but rather a reflection of the soul, whose secrets and shadows are crystallised in the cracks and tears of stained glass windows that are a colourful facade but also a greenhouse of sadness. sheltered within are the broken flowers you've collected in the gardens of others, and you love them for it because it's easier than loving the wilting petals within yourself.

There's a little marionette going through the motions pull the strings and she obeys. Her mouth sewn shut into a smile; for now, mute she must stay. But if you look real close you'll see the glass tears roll from her eyes as she counts down to the day she'll cut the strings and fly. And only then will you realise that your precious doll is long gone, she's chained but far beyond your reach and when she leaves you'll be forgotten.

Love certainly makes life a whole lot easier, and most people, if not everyone, is ultimately searching for love. It is such an integral part of our lives and can be the dictating factor in so many decisions. But as important as it is, is it really necessary for us to live? Is love one of the bare necessities to survival? Sure, life is so much more difficult without it, but is it absolutely essential? Also on the topic of living - if being 'alive' is defined as making the most out of life, and 'existing' isn't the same as 'living', then is love essential to living but not to existing?
